Max is a trade economist and former agriculture trade official in Argentina with more than fourteen years of experience. He specialises in the analysis of multilateral and regional trade policies in agriculture and NAMA. He has worked in the analysis of regional trade agreements and unilateral preferences. Max provided trade and trade policy analysis to support the negotiations associated with the WTO Agreement on Agriculture during the initial stages of the Doha Development Round. He worked in the evaluation of the WTO negotiation proposals (modalities) on market access, domestic support and export competition and on their effects on food security. He studied the poverty and income distribution effects during his time at the Inter-American Development Bank.
