Founder and Executive Director, Earthmind
Francis Vorhies is the founder executive director of Earthmind. He has over 25 years of international experience in sustainable development and business. His work ranges from engaging in international policy development to field-based assessments particularly with respect to the interface between biodiversity, business and the economy. He is a member of several IUCN Commissions where his contributions include work on verified conservation and sustainable wild trade. Previous experience includes CEO of Earthwatch Institute (Europe), Chief Economist of IUCN, and Resource Economist at the African Wildlife Foundation. Francis has a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Diploma in Integrated Environmental Management from the University of Cape Town.
