Prof. Carlos Primo BRAGA
Carlos A. Primo Braga is Professor of International Political Economy at IMD and Director of the Evian [email protected]. Before joining IMD in 2012, he was the Special Representative and Director for Europe, External Affairs (EXT) Vice-Presidency, The World Bank (2011-12). At the World Bank he was also Director, Economic Policy and Debt (2008-10) and, in 2010, he was the Acting Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the World Bank Group and Acting Executive Secretary of the IMF/World Bank Development Committee. He was a Fulbright Scholar (1988-89) and visiting professor (1988-1998) at the Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of São Paulo (1984-91) and Senior Researcher at FIPE, São Paulo. He holds degrees in Economics (Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; MA, University of São Paulo) and Mechanical Engineering, ITA; Brazil.
