Technical Services Manager, Tea Directorate, Kenya Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Authority

Samuel Ogola has worked at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Kenya, the Coffee Board and the Tea Board (Tea Directorate) during the last twenty years. Currently, Samuel works as a Technical Services Manager at the Tea Directorate of the Kenya Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Authority (AFFA). Samuel has worked closely with Government, Industry associations and other BSOs in ensuring quality, standards and market access for Kenya tea. Furthermore, Samuel has been a key contributor and coordinated various industry reform initiatives such as the Tea Industry Task Force (2007), National Tea Policy (2014) and Industry legal framework review (Tea Regulations 2008/9, Tea Amendment Act 2010) Development and implementation of the “Tea Industry Code of Practice “which has led to improved efficiency, quality and market access of Kenya tea. 

Samuel holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA), specializing in Leadership and Business Systems Development from the Copenhagen School of Business, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), specializing in International Trade and Business from the University of Nairobi.
