Southern Voice on Post-MDG International Development Goals

Launched in 2012, Southern Voice on Post-MDG International Development Goals (Southern Voice)  is a network of 49 thinks tanks from Africa, Asia and Latin America, which serves as an open platform that contributes to the global discussions on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and related issues. Southern Voice addresses the existing “knowledge asymmetry” in global debates and “participation deficit” of the developing countries by disseminating evidence-based knowledge and policy experience of the Global South. The network has been playing an important role in shaping the global discourse by generating quality research from Southern think tanks, engaging in collaborative research projects and outreach events at various international fora. All members of the network are or at some point were awardees of the multi-donor Think Tank Initiative (TTI), currently hosted by the IDRC, Ottawa. Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) in Dhaka is the Secretariat of Southern Voice.
